We are a group of educational practitioners dedicated to sharing our cross-cultural expertise in fostering culturally proficient citizens, thus creating a more welcoming and engaged community. Global Commons seeks to foster informed, empathetic community leaders and global citizens who “think globally and act locally.” Global Commons utilizes a holistic model that integrates cultural proficiency
training, global awareness education, and active community engagement. In essence, Global Commons strives to translate head and heart knowledge into compassionate, informed action. Our services and cultural proficiency programs include:
• Individual, Educational and Corporate Assessment and Training - We create individual training packages and consulting service to meet the unique needs of your organization or workplace.
• Walk A Mile In My Shoes: Louisville’s Refugee Camp Experience - The Mock Refugee Camp provides an exceptional three-hour simulation that casts participants into the role of refugees as they flee their home countries in search of safety and hope.
• Cultural “Deep Dives”: Invite participants to Learn more about our community’s ethnic diversity through immersion tours which include visits to various ethnic neighborhoods, restaurants, and businesses international guest speakers and
• Global Café: We provide venues to celebrate and empowering Louisville’s international communities cultures through music, art, film, food and storytelling.
• Global Scope: We provide a digital platform for the international voices of Louisville to share their stories, experiences and reflections on life in Louisville.
