OFFICIAL STATEMENT REGARDING EVENT SHUTDOWN AT STELLA’S VENUE ON JUNE 14,2025
On Saturday, June 14, 2025, Stella’s Venue, located at 1348 River Road in Louisville, was the site of a private event hosted by contract. Event access was limited to the host’s invited guests.
During the evening, an unusually high volume of pedestrian traffic emerged along River Road, coinciding with the conclusion of the nearby SkySoul Fest.
As a result, individuals who were not invited, authorized, or affiliated with the scheduled private event began attempting to enter the venue.
Upon our observation of this development, our third-party bar service and licensed security personnel acted swiftly and responsibly.
They identified the breach in event integrity and immediately began shutting down bar service and dispersing the unauthorized attendees. This action was taken in accordance with our pre-established safety protocols and in the interest of maintaining public safety and order.
It is critical to note that the crowd that assembled outside of Stella’s Venue was not part of the event being held inside.
Additionally, we were notified of a separate and unrelated gathering that had formed in the waterfront parking lot directly across the street from the venue.
This gathering was never part of or affiliated with Stella’s Venue or the contracted, hosted event.
Stella’s Venue remains committed to operating within the bounds of all applicable laws, ordinances, and event safety standards.
Furthermore, in light of this incident, we are implementing enhanced review procedures for future bookings. This includes proactively monitoring citywide events—particularly those occurring at or near the waterfront—to avoid any more interference or unintended overlap with private functions hosted at our facility.
