Happy Earth Day from our favorite corner of the world. 🌎💚

When our family stepped away from the NFL and moved back to NC, we needed to find the perfect piece of property to put down roots and start executing our calling. After many God moments, He granted us First Fruits Farm. We're forever thankful that the Lord worked out all the details of this location, even when it seemed unlikely.

Shameless plug for our FarmStay perk! 🐄🏠💗

Nestled on 1000 acres of rolling farmland, pastures, and woods, our FarmStay home is a peaceful, waterfront retreat, perfect for getting ready the day of and/or spending the night.

Our pastures have cows, donkeys, pigs, turkeys, chickens, and goats, and our woods are home to resident bald eagles. Our three managed and well-stocked ponds (the largest being 15 acres!) provide the best fishing in the state. NC State professors and graduate students from the Department of Ecology annually visit the farm to gather data on the trophy-sized fish and many species of birds. 🏆🐟🐦

Happily Ever After 💜💍 Michaela & Cole Tanner were married on January 21, 2023.

The Tanners live in Roanoke Rapids, NC. They recently welcomed a daughter who was born on October 13, 2024. 🎀Michaela stays at home with her, while Cole continues to work for his parents at K&B Laundry Service. They visited the barn to have maternity photos taken together. 📸 The couple has been attending Harvest Temple Pentecostal Holiness Church since they were children. In the future, they hope to prioritize travel and adventures, including a trip to Hawaii for all three of them. ✈️

When thinking back to their wedding day, the Tanners advise currently engaged couples to cherish each and every moment because their wedding day will fly by. They recommend The Kitchen Table in Garysburg.

National Find a Rainbow Day is celebrated annually on April 3rd and encourages people to appreciate the beauty of rainbows. 🌈

Rainbows aren't just beautiful, they are a powerful reminder of God's promises. In Genesis 9:13, the Lord says, "I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth." 🌎

After the flood, God gave the rainbow as a symbol of His faithfulness, mercy, and everlasting love. 💜

OUR LOVE STORY

Welcome to Amazing Graze Barn! Love is the foundation of our relationship and everything we do. It changes how we interact with each other and those around us. It deepens our awareness of others and enables us to accomplish some pretty awesome things. Our love story began in college and since then is has multiplied to include 8 children and a 1000 acre farm we affectionately call First Fruits Farm. ‘Love your neighbor’ is the standard we strive to live by. And although we are nowhere near perfect, we aim to build relationships with those in our community: to give, to love and to grow.

The Amazing Graze Barn began as we celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary by renewing our wedding vows on the front porch of our farmhouse and hosting our reception at the barn. But we couldn’t let it just end with us. First Fruits Farm is too wonderful a space and Amazing Graze Barn is too unique a venue to just keep to ourselves. Besides, everyone knows Love is best shared! We have since renovated our authentic dairy barn to allow others the opportunity to celebrate their love story where ours left off. And we hope to continue to have love spread on our farm and in our barn for years to come. We’re are a wedding venue that shares our hearts first! Amazing Graze Barn partners with First Fruits Farm to financially support its food donation ministry and other community programs held at the farm. Choosing Amazing Graze Barn, means choosing to #sowmorelove. Thank you for impacting our community!
