The things people don’t always see… 🤍
For her wedding, Samantha did something incredibly thoughtful. She wrote a personal card to each of her guests and placed one at every place setting.
As I watched them being set out, I hoped there might be one for me, too.
At the end of the night, there was. 🤍
And when I sat down and read it, the tears came.
People often see the beautiful venue, the flowers, the tables, the photographs and the finished wedding day. What they don’t always see are the relationships that are built along the way. We spend months—sometimes more than a year—with our couples. We answer the questions, work through the worries, help make decisions, solve problems behind the scenes, celebrate the exciting moments, and do everything we can to make sure that when their wedding day finally arrives, they can simply enjoy it.
So when Samantha wrote that she loved the beautiful space we’ve created and that she “can’t wait to bring our kids here one day,” it absolutely brought me to tears.
That last part especially. 🤍
The English Barn has never just been a building to us. We have poured so much of our lives and our hearts into this place. To know that one of our brides already imagines returning someday with her children is something I can't quite put into words.
Samantha & Jacob, thank you for thinking of me, for trusting us with such an important day in your life, and for reminding me why we do what we do.
This little card will be one I keep forever. 🤍
