3 Things you need to know about the “Shot List”
To sum it up, your wedding photographer doesn’t really need a checklist or collection of shots for “inspiration”. These few ideas may help bring out that “wow” effect in your photos:
* DO let your photographer know about the special people, special moments, and personal details you’d like for them to capture and highlight.
* Get specific with your family groupings list and include as much helpful information as possible. Instead of listing only Bride’s Grandparents + Parents + Siblings, try this instead: Grandparents (Emily & Richard) + Parents (Lorelei & Jack) + Siblings (Rori, Lane, and Dean). This helps clear up so much confusion because the photographer(s) may not know all your family members and who Grandma Emily and Aunt Sukie are.
* Provide your family group photo list as soon as possible to ensure enough time is accounted for on the timeline!
Trust your wedding photographer to capture your day’s events as they unfold in a way that reflects their creativity and style as an artist (remember, you hired them because you liked their work, right?) and that also reflects you, your family and your story as well.
Your love is like no one else’s, so your wedding photos shouldn’t be like anyone else’s either.
