Growing up, our family entertained a lot, so I come from a long line of cooks and hostesses, giving meticulous attention to every detail. Years working in the unpredictable and perfection driven world of television production honed my planning skills while my taste for lovely events was fine tuned at the Style Network. At La TEA Da, we can provide full service event planning or dessert tables or flowers or all of the above.

It’s graduation time! Full on old school movie 🎥 party for a budding director heading off to college. This kid graduated summa cm laude (!!!! No joke!) Many talents, but what Henry really wants to do is direct. My bets on him. David and Lisa, great job getting him to this! Thanks for your on going support and letting me be part of this big night. When you are rich in friends, you can do anything.

Weekend Garden Party celebrating 99 years alive.
No need to speak loudly or slowly to Gerry, this almost centenarian is cogent, completely conversant and good to go.
I aspire to be like her when I grow up.

Robin (Gerry’s daughter) wanted the food I made to be on Gerry’s gorgeous collection of heirloom platters dating back to the 1800’s.
I made chocolate Wacky Cake Cupcakes which herald back to Gerry’s youth.
Depression Cake, also known as Wacky Cake or War Cake originated in the Great Depression.
It is a cake made without milk, eggs, or butter. 
These were all ingredients that were hard to come by during the Great Depression and at wartime.
Thank you Robin for letting me be part of your family’s celebration. I feel honored.

We were Wicked for the Oscar Tea and Party this year. We totally greened up with a splash of soft Glinda pink.
The 2025 Oscar Tea was a generous endeavor with dear friends James, Phillip and Kelley. This creative collaboration with took the tea to upscale levels this year. A splash of Limoges China, vintage glassware and pink champagne flamingo coupes felt like we were having tea at the Plaza.
I thank you Phillip for your generous indulgence pouring whole heart and soul into beautifying the tea.
And James and Phillip for opening up your “emerald city” home for our annual tradition. I love you and (aka the boss) with all my heart.
I am friendship blessed and grateful. Plus I won the Oscar Pool!!! That was due in big part to young

Big hugs to Robin for taking my literal Virgo thinking and creating floral magic.
Your piercing “Popular”rendition is etched in my brain.

Honorable mentions to my friends Sam and Joel who came over to help craft menus under tutelage from my main crafting squeeze

Some people pass through life and leave deep imprints.

For this Celebration of Life, I didn’t personally know the deceased person at all.
But I became acquainted with Linda Deutsch by helping put together her Celebration of Life.
I did know of her as a notable, trusted Associated Press journalist chosen to cover all the big trials - Manson, OJ, Michael Jackson, Sirhan Sirhan.
But through this celebration I felt the imprint she made on so many of her friend’s & colleagues lives. What a life well lived!

We did a nod to the “Blue Hawaii” film since Linda LOVED Elvis Presley, even started his fan club, back in the day.
Check out the photos for a glimpse of her first typewriter, a 1953 Smith Corona Skyriter.

My hat is off to you and for taking care of Linda during life and beyond. I am honored and grateful to have put together Linda’s celebration with such good people. ❤️😘
Many thanks to her dear friends for their kind assistance.

After an event, I’m usually left spent.
This time, I felt energized. Linda’s dynamic spirit infused me with energy!
