Bass Waffles was founded in 2002 by East LA Fisherman, Samuel T. Conceived as an event for his fellow anglers and their families, his dream was one of a large potluck, filled with various fresh-caught fish all paired with sweet breakfast foods. The first potluck did not even have any waffles. Instead multiple people brought pancakes, and a small child almost cho

ked to death on one. With this failure, Samuel was left destitute. He swore off fishing and waffles, and drank himself to death.

14 years later Samuel's son, Davey D. Syrup, set out to restore his family's name. He swore he would breathe life back into the brand that had destroyed his family. He knew that the Waffles were not to blame, it was the pancakes and the fish that had gone so wrong. Armed with a waffle iron, a macbook pro and a stolen QSC system Davey started a movement.
