Peonies💗 The flower that stops everyone in their tracks.

After 26 years of designing with them, here’s what I want you to know: they’re available way more of the year than you think. Garden roses are the best stand-in when they’re gone.

Trader Joe’s has shockingly good ones for a few weeks each spring. Never buy them rock hard. You want the marshmallow squeeze.

A few open peonies will steal the entire arrangement.
