Yesterday, we sadly lost Hip Hop Icon Rob Base.

Our condolences, prayers, and love go out to his wife Lynette and to the entire family during this incredibly difficult time.

Rob was not only one of our favorite performers… he was our friend. Today, we share a heavy heart with everyone who knew him and with the millions of fans whose lives he touched through music.

For over 20 years, Rob was a part of Pacific Concert Group tours, and he was truly one of the easiest and most genuine people to work with. Simply stated… no drama. A true professional in every sense of the word.

And when it came time to hit the stage… Rob was “Old School Royalty.”

He loved reminding audiences, “This is how we did it back in the day,” and then he would proceed to rock the house with an energy that was unmatched.

We were honored to have him as one of the stars of the Lisa Lisa 40th Anniversary Tour last year, creating memories that we will cherish forever.

We will deeply miss Rob at our shows and especially those great conversations right before he walked on stage.

His music, his style, and his spirit will live on forever and continue inspiring generations to come.

And honestly… Rob said it best himself:

“I wanna rock right now… I’m Rob Base and I came to get down.”

And get down he did.

Rest In Peace, my friend.
