American musician has d-ed in a helicopter crash in Brazil at the age of 32, according to reports.

Two helicopters collided over Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning and crashed in the city’s western zone, k-lling all six people onboard, including Tree, several Brazilian media outlets reported.

Rio de Janeiro’s military fire department said one of the helicopters crashed on a car dealership, where several electric vehicles were parked, igniting a fire that was extinguished.

Officials said an investigation was under way to determine the cause of the collision.

Tree, 32, who was in Brazil on a world tour, was aboard one of the helicopters that crashed, leaving all occupants d--d.

A study modeling 1,000 years of California's earthquake history reveals that parts of Southern California's fault system are carrying more tectonic stress than at any point in the last millennium.

Researchers from institutions including the Scripps Institution of Oceanography and the U.S. Geological Survey combined geological data, historical records, tree rings, and advanced computer models to map centuries of underground strain. They discovered that sections of the San Andreas and San Jacinto faults have reached stress levels that equal or exceed historical maximums. Nipsey Hussle and Bino Rideaux’s anticipated joint album PROLIFIC is set to be released Aug. 14. The collab effort serves as Nipsey’s first posthumous project since the Crenshaw rapper’s passing in March 2019.

However, none of PROLIFIC was recorded posthumously, as Nip and Bino recorded the entire joint project in 2017. Producers include Mike & Keys, Mixed By Ali, Cyrus Taghipour, Axel Folie, Larrance Dopson, Lamar “Mars” Edwards and Garnett “G” Flynn.

When police arrested Robert Dillon in 2023 for allegedly trying to "lure a child" away from a McDonald's in Jacksonville Beach, Florida — he told them he was more than 300 miles away at the time of the crime. In fact, he had never been to the city.

The key evidence police used to puncture his alibi: facial recognition software matched an image of the suspect to Dillon's photo.

Dillon was later cleared, and on Wednesday he became a plaintiff in a new ACLU lawsuit filed against the Jacksonville Beach Police Department and others over what he believes was a case of misuse of the AI-driven image matching technology.

"Police let an error-prone artificial intelligence system stand in for an investigation," they argue in their complaint.

The case is the latest attempt to establish guardrails for powerful new technology that police are increasingly using to solve one of the toughest aspects of any investigation — when they have an image of a suspect, but not that person's identity. Facial recognition is an increasingly common law enforcement tool, with public databases holding images of 117 million Americans, according to the Center on Privacy and Technology at Georgetown Law School.

Jacksonville Beach police and the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office both declined to comment.

City Council member Nithya Raman has advanced to a November runoff in the race for L.A.’s next mayor. After trailing the Republican and former reality star Spencer Pratt in a distant third, Raman zoomed past Pratt for second place on Monday and will face incumbent Karen Bass.

Raman slowly gained on Pratt over the last week, first breaking out with a slim lead on Sunday night. But now, Raman is solidly in second with 28.55% of the vote — while Pratt has 25.83%. Incumbent Karen Bass, with 34.32% of the vote, has long earned her place in the November runoff.

While Pratt, along with other conservatives have expressed frustration with California’s slow vote processing, there are several reasons the state takes longer to ensure accuracy.

One cause is mail-in voting, which is extremely popular in the Golden State. Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber reported in 2024 that roughly 13 million of the 16 million votes in the 2024 presidential election were submitted by mail.

At least 35 people have d--d after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck off the coast of the Mindanao island in the southern , officials say.

The quake hit at 7:37 local time on Monday triggering alerts in the Philippines, Indonesia, Japan and Australia. The warnings were cancelled or downgraded hours later.

In an update on Monday afternoon, the country's Office of Civil Defense said 31 of the d--ths had been recorded in Soccsksargen — while the other four were in Davao.

A man d--d on June 7, 2026, after falling while hiking near the Punch Bowls area outside . Ventura County Fire crews and a Sheriff's helicopter responded to a remote rescue call just before 12:15 p.m., but the man was pronounced d--d at the scene.

The incident occurred on the Last Chance Trail, where the victim had been hiking with a group. The Sheriff's Office's Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating the d--th, though deputies do not suspect foul play. In a series of posts on Instagram — influencers Jesse Ridgeway & his wife Ashley — said that they'd recently made the "difficult decision" to end Ashley's pregnancy after receiving a fetal Down syndrome diagnosis.
