Two Updates! 1) We're taking a break from hosting practicas for now, but keep looking for future events-- and join the Los Angeles Swing Society for Inclusivity - LASSI group for potential swing dance outings! 2) For Advanced dancers-- my favourites, the Decavitas, are in town for the summer- all the way from Sweden! Check out their classes if you want to learn from some of the ~coolest~ swing dancers in the galaxy~~

Taken a few swing dance classes and want to practice in a fun, supportive, inclusive space? We're at Downtown Dance and Movement every Wednesday at 8pm, bringing you just that! $5 to drop in, make some friends, and learn a lot!! [plus, The Cat Lady Dances and I still host a 7pm Intro to Lindy Class right before, in case you need to get your basics back/down] Follow the FB page to keep in the loop~~

Effie's Rock-Step and The Cat Lady Dances are teaching tonight and Wednesday nights in December! (except Boxing Day)- visit Downtown Dance & Movement at 7pm for a Beginner Lindy class and at 8pm for the next level up, with a Charleston focus! In other special news, we're guest teaching at LindyGroove tomorrow, 12/6, at 7:40pm-- PLUS it is Efife's birthday party-- let's dance soon!!

A new month and a brand new opportunity to keep on dancing! Effie and The Cat Lady Dances are back every Wednesday at 7pm sharing their Lindy Hop knowledge; if you haven't tried it before, sign-up for the whole month and you'll know the basics in no time! (Well... in one month!) If you fancy yourself a bit more experienced, drop in any week at 8pm to sharpen those skills... and you'll surely be the most confident dancer at the Dec. 2nd sock hop 😉

BIG NEWS! We have added an Intermediate Class to our Wednesday Lindy Hop schedule! Our Beginner Series has moved to 7pm and Effie and Christine (The Cat Lady Dances) now have the 8 o'clock slot reserved for dancers who want more of a challenge. If you already have the basics down and want to get a little bit fancy, this is the class for you! See you tomorrow (and every Wednesday) at Downtown Dance & Movement

A NEW Lindy Hop Series *kicks off* tomorrow!! This month's theme is "Dancing in Closed" and will we help you get some fancy feet! First class is tomorrow 5/2, and then join us every Wednesday in May for more! 8pm at Downtown Dance & Movement ~with Effie and Christine from The Cat Lady Dances~ No partner or experience needed; anyone can rock and anyone can roll!
