Fun fact: when you marry a Dutch girl, you get a family filled skit reenacting your love story in 5 parts. Might be one of the weirdest and absolute sweetest things we’ve ever seen! Portia and Andrew, we love you and miss you already. This was a great day thanks to these fine folks!

What. A. Year. And a half! Looking at the caption from my last post is laughable and bizarre. So much loss, so much unknown…but where there is shadow, there is sunshine. We welcomed our daughter Sunny in September 2020! And while Homegrown has definitely been on the back burner as we’ve focused on our little family and surviving a global pandemic, she’s still here! And so excited to be working at our favorite venue TWICE next month! Sending you all the love and cheers and please dear god get vaccinated so we can party like it’s actually wedding season again.

How is it already mid August?! 🤯 The older I get, the quicker the years go by. As a planner (for work and irl!) it’s easy to always be looking ahead, anticipating what’s next. Buying plane tickets, scheduling meetings, racing against deadlines. I really have to work hard to be mindful and intentionally H E R E. I’ve been gifted with a lot of alone time and rest lately and instead of seeing it as a means to an end or like I need to be doing something else, I’m (trying to) just soak it up. The leisurely walks, the long phone conversations with out of state friends, the good book, the early bedtime. It’s all a gift that’s not to be missed. It’s here and now and would be such a waste to wish it away or miss it because we’re thinking about tomorrow. “Tomorrow will worry about itself.” Matt 6:34 📸:
