As I prepare to give thanks and praise to God for allowing me to experience another trip around the sun, I have to share something that happened at dinner. ❤️

Of course, I told the waitress that we were celebrating my birthday, which is on September 1st. She kept trying to convince me that I should embrace a much younger age—she was determined to make me 25! 😂

But I immediately corrected her and said, “Oh no, I’m turning 51, and I am VERY proud of my age!”

Why would I want to go backward when I’ve already experienced 25? I am grateful for every year that God has allowed me to live. I’m grateful for the life lessons, the joys, the challenges, the growth, the disappointments, the victories, and everything in between.

I don’t want to erase any of it just to appear younger.

My mindset is not that of a 25-year-old—and honestly, I wouldn’t want it to be. I am very much a grown woman, still learning, still evolving, still figuring out how to navigate this beautiful thing called life. And there is something incredibly powerful about being able to look back and say, “I’ve come a long way.”

I have never been ashamed of my age. Every wrinkle, every lesson, every experience represents a chapter God allowed me to live.

So, as I step into 51, I’m not trying to look 25, act 25, or go back to 25.

I’m embracing 51! 🎉❤️

Because 51 is a blessing that 25-year-old me could only hope to experience.

Thank You, God, for another trip around the sun. ☀️🙏🏾

I'm so grateful let me take the reins on your special day! This has got to be my favorite project yet! Our conversations were all about capturing the essence of abundance and living life to the fullest. Prayer guided us through every step, and we overcame challenges together.
