Sometimes it’s fun to share a little behind the scenes, and we were quite pleased with how this small bite for a wedding last weekend at . Spiced shrimp on a crispy tostada with guacamole was inspired by Jojo’s trip to Mexico with last year.

A seafood tower experience worth indulging in. Following a classic preset Caesar salad, guests at Discovery Ball were treated to a stunning presentation of poached shrimp, edible gold dusted crab claws, oysters on the half shell, and all the fixings including lemon wedges, red wine mignonette, lemon garlic aioli, and cocktail sauce. Everything was served on a spinning lazy Susan for a touch of interactive fun. A truly golden start to the evening and a presentation that can be tailored to fit a variety of event styles, adding just the right amount of luxury to leave your guests saying “WOW!”

Savoring the sweetness of summer at the bar with four signature cocktails, each inspired by the bride’s LOVE of Positano. From the citrusy Positano made with Cara Cara oranges, Peruvian vodka, tequila, and mint, to a classic Gin & Tonic, an Italian Old Fashioned with a touch of rosemary, and of course, an Aperol Spritz, each sip was designed to bring a little Italian sunshine to Southern California.

The bar should never be an afterthought. It’s one of the first impressions your guests will have, and we love crafting a bar experience that pairs perfectly with the menu. Summertime is all about the grill station, it sets the scene as guests interact with the chefs and watch their meats and vegetables being prepared and finished to perfection. Might we recommend a finishing touch of grainy mustard butter and a sprinkle of flaky salt? The char from the grill enhances every flavor and outdoor events, bringing a bit of fun and boldness.

Celebrating 's 10th anniversary gala in honor of founder Glorya Kaufman! What do you serve a room full of dancers? The menu needed to take guests on a journey of discovery. We started with a vibrant mezze platter, followed by a first course of golden beet carpaccio. The main course featured a duo of halibut and Mediterranean lamb tenderloin, served with sautéed chard, glazed carrots, roasted potatoes, and a lemon white wine butter sauce. And for the finale, a light and elegant lemon syllabub.

Wishing a very Happy Birthday Week to Pauline and Jojo. 🥂 True to their Ta**us nature, they are grounded, loyal, and have a deep love for comfort, beauty, and the finer things in life. Their patience, dedication, and passion for bringing people together have shaped the heart of Good Gracious. After all, no one knows how to celebrate food, fun, LOVE quite like they do.

This year has been a big one, as Pauline passed the torch to Jojo to lead Good Gracious into its next chapter. As Pauline focuses on family, travel, and writing her next book (stay tuned!), Good Gracious! continues to create, evolve, and serve you with passion under Jojo's leadership. When Cinco de Mayo rolls around, everyone expects tacos and tequila, but the real magic often comes from the music. There’s something about a mariachi band strolling into Pauline’s Garden that lifts an already lively celebration. Our pastry chef Claudia starts singing, and before long, no one can resist joining in. Just like that, the evening turns unforgettable. We hope you celebrate in style today, with fabulous tacos, margaritas, and if you’re lucky, a mariachi band!

This classic 50th birthday celebration at a private estate incorporated a subtle nod to Star Wars Day through the place card settings. We even extended the theme into the menu planning, with highlights including LEGO-shaped jello shots and a signature cocktail, the "Jae-Jito," made with muddled purple basil, sugar, Bacardi rum, and honeydew melon juice.
