The mission of Rustic Kitchen is a family business that strives to be an asset to the community as a local café and gathering place. We provide exceptional quality fresh food, in a relaxed, family friendly atmosphere at a reasonable price. Our wine bar has over 80 wines by the glass plus a bevy of local craft beers. Happy hour from 3pm to 6pm daily. We strive to the principles of farm-to-table and

the majority of our offerings are small plates that are locally sourced, from environmentally conscious, organic and certified sustainable producers, without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Grab & Go meals from our deli case as well as custom ordering options let's our customers take the flavors of Rustic Kitchen with them to their home or office. We also have unique artisanal and gourmet items to-go. Unique cheeses, salami and spreads designed to pair with our certified sommelier selected wines so you can create an amazing spread for your friends & family at home or to take to park concerts, the Hollywood Bowl or wherever your travels take you. Take all of our wines or beers home from the RK market at 30%-50% off menu prices (except rare/collectible offerings). Ask us about hosting your private event or our catering services at your home or office! For over 9 years we have provided delectable edibles for a multitude of events. From weddings, birthdays & cocktail parties to Passover & school buffets plus multi course sit down wine tasting dinners, corporate lunches, Bar and Bat Mitzvahs, and more. Today is Mourvèdre day!

Mourvèdre Day is celebrated annually on May 21. It honors the ancient, thick-skinned red wine grape known for its bold flavors of dark fruit, savory roasted meat, and earthy spices. Also known as Monastrell in Spain and Mataro in Australia and California, this heat-loving grape thrives in warm, dry climates.

Why Mourvèdre is Special
The "M" in GSM: It is most famously used as a foundational blending grape alongside Grenache and Syrah (the classic Rhône GSM blend), adding deep color, structural tannins, and gamey complexity.

Stand-Alone Wines: When bottled on its own, it yields highly structured, full-bodied red wines that are excellent for aging.

Fantastic Rosé: It is a premier grape for robust, textured rosés, especially in the Bandol region of France (one of RK's favorites!)

Perfect PairingsBecause of its distinct earthy, peppery, and meaty profile, Mourvèdre pairs beautifully with foods that have similar bold flavors:Barbecue, smoked meats, and brisket.Roasted or braised meats like lamb and oxtail.Hearty roasted vegetables and rich eggplant.

another legend passes on...

It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Dan Duckhorn, our company’s co-founder, passed away today, February 25th.

Like Robert Mondavi before him, Dan helped to change the way Americans think about and enjoy wine. While his legacy will always be rightfully entwined with exceptional Merlot, he was a pioneer in so many other ways that impacted California’s wine business, from recognizing the promise of new appellations to championing innovation. When the history of California winemaking is finally written, Dan Duckhorn will be one of its great names. He was an inspiration and will be greatly missed.

While Dan’s passing is an immeasurable loss for everyone who knew him, and this is a time of profound sadness for all of us at The Duckhorn Portfolio, we know that the best way to honor and celebrate his life is to continue building on the rich legacy he established.
