Exquisite Restraint was the first to use the catchphrase "True Corsetry for Women & Men." Owner and Designer Simone established her online presence with a website in 2001. Never compromising on materials, construction and craftsmanship (always coutil fabric, always all-steel boning,) her first corsets were for her transgender and cross-dressing girlfriends and clients in Southern California. e Etsy, before Kickstarter, Simone was part of the first wave of crafting DIY and boutique websites that brought corsetry to the mainstream public and popularized corsets as outerwear. All corsets have been time-tested and fitted on many different body types. We've understood "tightlacing" before it became a Google search term and communicate with clients' to achieve the perfect fit with a durable corset that will last. Our plus size corsets are not simply smaller sizes graded up to be larger, but rather, have been patterned from fit models that fall into a more realistic plus size shape. VINTAGE Exquisite Restraint circa 2006 🌺🌺🌺 ! Lo-fi,low-rez pic found on an old drive. This our underbust in a standard size off our size chart. We made soooo many corsets with luscious silk dupioni as the exterior fashion fabric. Our work has evolved into almost exclusively custom with mock-ups and fittings in our studio in Los Angeles... Because custom is really the best.
