Lula Washington will receive the Artistic Activism Award from Emmy Award-winner Sheryl Lee Ralph and The DIVA Foundation. The presentation is a part of the 35th Anniversary of DIVAS Simply Singing! Raising Health Awareness tonight at the stunning Taglyan Cultural Complex in Los Angeles.

LWDT is honored that our Co-Founder and Leader would be recognized in the company of such dynamic women at such a momentous time for The DIVA Foundation and LWDT as we are celebrating our 45th Anniversary, Moving Towards 50!

Today October 1, 2025, the government is shutdown!

Thank you to all of the Democrats who held their ground, strong against The Trump big beautiful bill which will eliminate Healthcare for millions of Americans!

The Republican party does not care about the 99% of Americans who will be kicked off of their Healthcare at the end of the year.

Trump does not care about the 99% because he said he will not bring millions of hard working Americans back to their jobs if the government shuts down. He will simply have the people fired!

What kind of American President would do such an awful act?

The only thing he has done is give tax brakes to the rich and yes today allowed the government to shutdown! And his Republican party continues to lie!

Lastly shame! On the 3 democrats who voted for Trumps bill!
