Castle, was born and raised in LaPlace, Louisiana only a few miles outside of New Orleans, Louisiana. It was there that she was inspired in her youth by the native Creole and French cuisine. She later ventured to Atlanta, Georgia where she studied Biology and graduated from Spelman College. While in Atlanta she also shadowed a renowned celebrity chef who taught her the ins and outs of full service
catering and personal chef work. This time spent in Atlanta inspired her to infuse her native Creole cuisine with the traditional Southern cuisine. Her undeniable passion for health, food, and people gave birth to what is known today as Castle’s Catering, LLC! ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Chef Shanita Castle founded Castle’s Catering, LLC in August of 2010. Since then Castle’s Catering, LLC has gone from a full service catering company to a familiar face in some of the local schools/institutions in the Southern California area through Chef Shanita’s cooking classes. The goals of the company are to provide clients with effective and efficient service and a memorable experience with every experience big and small. We specialize in Southern and Creole cuisine, but have experience in variety of types of foods including but not limited to Vegan, American, Italian, French, Asian, and Mexican cuisines. The flavors of Castle's Catering are spicy, bold, unique, and always leave a lasting memory on the taste buds. Chef Shanita not only brings bold flavors, she always has a way of filling the room with a little Southern hospitality. The future of Castle’s Catering, LLC includes development into an event planning firm with an in-house caterer and to develop into firm that provides culinary enrichment programs in local institutions/schools.
