In this thirty fourth installment of the Producer Spotlight Series we’re highlighting British producer and DJ, Nick Moss aka Groove Assassin. Originally from Sheffield the ‘Steel City’ in the heart of North England ,UK. A true pioneer in the UK's Soulful/Deep House scene, well respected worldwide for his stellar productions and remixes on some of the biggest and best dance music labels. Well known and revered for his unique, energetic & eclectic Dj sets. More commonly referred to amongst the soulful house community as 'King of the Edits'.

Nick was raised on a diet of Soul/Disco/Funk & Electro Breakdance & Early Chicago House Music, all elements that he utilizes both in his productions and his Dj sets. One of the World’s most respected house music Dj’s and Producers, Nick’s original productions and remix work have appeared on such stellar imprints as : Defected Records , MN2S Records, Hed Kandi, Stereo Sushi, Strictly Rhythm, Ministry of Sound, Soul Heaven, Quantize, Papa Records, JellyBean Soul, Groove Odyssey, King Street Sounds, Tony Records, Tribe, Foliage, Code Red amongst many other legendary house music imprints.

His style ranges from deep underground NY Garage to throbbing underground house to straight up disco and funk classics, rare groove and soul which is to say he truly revels in the diversity of this thing we call house music. Nick is in high demand as a DJ and continues to tour the globe spreading his soulful deep house sound to the masses and beyond. He’s rocked around the globe in countries such as USA, Canada, Australia, Asia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, China, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Lithuania, Spain, Italy, Morocco, France, Ireland, Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Portugal, Georgia, Malta, Greece, Bulgaria, Croatia, Holland, and Belgium. Nick has been very busy with a number of Dj mix album compilations and has already mixed some high caliber album projects: Groove Odyssey Volume 1 mixed by Groove Assassin one of the leading soulful house music brands. Groove Assassin Artist album project for MN2S Records (Groove Assassin in the Mix) (Mixed & Unmixed) featuring all Groove Assassin Remixes & Tracks. Artist mix album project for King Street Sounds / Nite Grooves (Groove Assassin Soulful House Journey) A Double DJ Mix compilation album Project for Groove Assassin Masterclass for Seamless Records. Nick was number 8 in the Top 100 Traxsource Soulful Artists for 2018. 2019 has been a hectic studio roster of remixes and original tracks and Nick has been busy working on his own imprint Things May Change!
