‘Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the Kitchen 🎄✨
Not a pot was brewing, no not even an ounce 🍲
The brooms were hung by the mop sink to dry 🧹💧
Knowing that Ang would not soon be by,
No more by the dishwasher would there be such a clatter 🍽️
As from the sink there would be nothing more to splatter 💦
No more to the board would we fly like a flash ⚡
Looking to see if we had an order to hash,
And then in a moment, Juel was no longer baking in a p**f 🥐💨
No mixing or stirring, not even a dinner roll to proof 🍞
Libby was not out weighing the chicken by pound 🍗⚖️
And over by the ovens Haley was nowhere to be found 🔥
Teresa is no longer coming, with her drinks so merry 🍹😄
Sarita is not busy, making a pie of cherry 🥧🍒
The overhead fans no longer have to blow 🌬️
And Joanna was not working on an order to‑go 🛍️
The schedule was empty, as no one was to work ❌
No more sweeping, we realized with a happy smirk 😌🧼
The smell of fried chicken no longer fills our nose 🍗👃
We take this time off! No more food we chose! 🎉
Over by the stoves, the pots no longer whistled 🫕
The griddles were empty, no not a sound of a sizzle 🔇🥓
Enjoying the silence, we finally shut off the lights 💡✨
