Today’s forecast: a whole lot of nothing to do. 🤎🌾

After weeks of fighting this Texas heat, we finally got a much-needed break today—and I think the crew is enjoying it just as much as I am. Scotch is hanging out with his donkey buddies, everyone’s grazing, and for once nobody is worried about finding the coolest spot in the pasture.

Just happy animals enjoying a good day. 🫶🏼

We’ll take every single one of these cooler days we can get! ☀️🌿

Evening cool-down for Scotch. 🤎💦

When East Texas temps climb above 98°F, keeping this fluffy guy comfortable takes a little extra work. On days like this, I come out about four times throughout the afternoon and evening to hose him down and help him shed some of that excess body heat — and thankfully, he LOVES it. 😂 He’ll happily stand there and soak up every minute of his personal little sprinkler session.

Highlands are built for cooler climates, and while Scotch sheds down to a much shorter summer coat and he has been thoroughly deshedded by hand, our Texas heat can still be tough on them. Between plenty of fresh water, shade, fans, and regular rinses, we do everything we can to help him stay cool and comfortable. ☀️🐮

A few extra trips outside every day are well worth it to keep our animals happy, comfortable, and safe. 🤍

We officially reserved our booth for the East Texas Bridal Open House on January 10, 2027, and we are SO excited to be part of it!

If you’re planning a wedding, this is one you’ll want to put on your calendar. 💍 With 110+ wedding, event & beauty vendors all under one roof, it’s the perfect opportunity to meet vendors, gather ideas, and knock out some wedding planning all in one afternoon!
