A Love like Twilight| Elliot + Madison Engagement Session

Twilight is one of Elliot and Madison’s favorite movies, so naturally, we had to bring a little bit of Forks into their engagement session. 😜🌲 They wanted their photos to embody that moody, romantic, slightly mysterious Twilight feeling, especially since their wedding will be carrying those same cozy vibes. ❤️

We spent the evening running through the trees, chasing light, getting cozy, and, of course, pretending we were vampires. 😂 It was so much fun getting to create something that felt so *them* and brought one of their favorite stories into their own love story.

I already know their wedding day is going to be absolutely magical, and I cannot wait for their October wedding!

This is what it looks like when you feel comfortable with your photographer 👏

That big ole smiling girl is me and my bestie Becca randomly took these while we were hanging out and they are some of my favorite images of myself! 😍

Why? Because she captured my actual laughter, my actual movement, my wild woman side and all because she knew how to direct me, knew how to work the angles, AND she made me feel safe, seen, and most importantly comfortable. ❤️

I didn’t feel nervous or out of place and I didn’t see the behind the camera and felt like I looked weird….

I saw myself, I saw my real big loud ass smile and laugh, and the movements I make when I’m happy. I see my most authentic self! 🥹

And this is what I try to preach! Knowing how to photograph, how to work angles and the camera is important yes, but if you want those honest, authentic, and magical photos? You need to feel comfortable with your photographer. 🫶

And that is why I work so hard to get my clients to relax and know that Im a safe and welcoming space for all. I ask tons of questions, I want to really get to know you, and Im not afraid to show my goofy personality when we’re shooting. 📸 🤪

If you’ve been nervous to have a photoshoot, this is your sign that you found someone who can make you feel comfortable and authentically the real YOU!
