Artemis Flower Farm

Artemis Flower Farm I am a flower farmer and floral designer. I grow and arrange uncommonly beautiful blooms. We have flowers available from May through October.

Farmette Flowers is a seasonal, organic flower farm and full-service floral design studio located at the Treehouse Farm Collective in Boulder, Colorado. Run by Helen Skiba, a Colorado native, and a team of young farmers, Farmette Flowers specializes in hard-to-find, unusual, and delicate varieties. We grow a wide array of colors, species, and cultivars, and we love making unique, seasonally-inspi

red arrangements. Our amazing blooms are available to local weddings, florists, and to our flower share members. We can also take special orders for your dinner table, birthdays, or other special events.

Wow that was a crazy 24 hours 🌧️❄️☀️💧We trellised the peonies because they had gotten so unseasonably big with all the heat, got more snow overnight than we got the entire winter, knocked snow off the poor peonies twice in the night and in the morning, and then watched it all disappear in the beautiful sunshine. I’ve never felt so grateful for water from the sky.

Thanks to the crazy hot spring, all our field and greenhouse tulips bloomed at once. It means we probably won’t have tulips for Mother’s Day, for the first time ever. But it does make for a pretty carload.

These are some of my favorite tulips: Columbus! I don’t know why they’re called that, but they are a perfect raspberry color with white edges, and they open up huge. Come find more faves at the farm stand - it’s open daily 10a-6p.

It’s tulip time! Our first week of forced blooms and we’re grateful for all our farm’s infrastructure: the cooler, the greenhouse, and the studio where we moved them so they wouldn’t fry in the 90-degree heat this week. Farming flowers in Colorado has never been a cakewalk, but this year promises to be one of the most challenging yet. How are y’all doing out there with this insane weather??

Spring on the farm & we are getting stuff done. Raking off cover crop with a new tractor implement, welcoming new employees, enjoying the first short flush of anemones, and harvesting our forced tulips (even though we had to move them into our studio and out of the hot hot greenhouse). How is your season starting this year?
