Originally from Central Florida, Mikey now lives in Astoria, New York with her wife and her dog, Pig. She got her first camera at the age of three and hasn’t stopped shooting since. In her free time she develops her film at home in her makeshift darkroom, and sells handmade lavender stuffed animals. Mikey's work has been featured in Vogue, Nylon, Domino, Cools, Bustle, Spotify, Buzzfeed, The NY Post and in Red Magazine.

When Tera reached out about photos for her daughter’s 1st birthday, she mentioned that her son had NOT been into family photos in the past. We remedied that by planning a morning he would actually enjoy (he even ran into a friend at the playground)! Turns out he is quite the comedian and had us laughing all morning!!

Had the best morning with this sweet family a couple months ago! As soon as I walked through the front door Remy gave me a full debrief on her plans for the day (a very exciting trip to a new playground), who her best friend is (Elena who is one year older than her), and what she’s been up to at her new school.
One of the things I find most important when working with families is giving kids the chance to feel seen and be heard. When it comes down to it, these photos are going to be what fuels the memories of their childhood. It’s our job to make sure those memories are good ones!
