Originally from Central Florida, Mikey now lives in Astoria, New York with her wife and her dog, Pig. She got her first camera at the age of three and hasn’t stopped shooting since. In her free time she develops her film at home in her makeshift darkroom, and sells handmade lavender stuffed animals. Mikey's work has been featured in Vogue, Nylon, Domino, Cools, Bustle, Spotify, Buzzfeed, The NY Post and in Red Magazine.

It’s crazy to think that a couple years ago this probably would have been a photo that I would have left out of a gallery because it’s a bit off center. As time has gone on I’ve really started to find the beauty (and relief) in not over analyzing all the technical parts of my work. I am constantly telling my families to let loose and be in the moment and have FUN and having this photo featured just proves that I have to remember to take my own advice! Feeling very honored to have been selected out of 10,000 submissions to be featured (among so many talented folks) in the Spring edition of !!! Check out the magazine at the link in my bio!

A perfect little 6 month milestone session because jeez do babies grow fast! I did Teddy’s newborn photos as well and when I walked in and saw him for the first time since then I could not believe how big he’d gotten. Take photos of your people today!! Everyday your kids change a little more (and so do you) so make sure you’re documenting your day to day life even when it feels like a mundane moment. You’ll thank yourself later. (Last slide is from Teddy’s newborn session!)

I love a low key City Hall elopement! After saying their vows, Erica + Felix took the subway to the spot that Felix proposed and then celebrated with their family at a bar across the street. If you couldn’t tell, they spent the whole day making each other laugh🥹

On a side note - I can’t believe the MTA is retiring the orange seat trains (aka the best trains). It’s changes like that that remind me how important it is to document all the aspects of our lives!

All the best parts of a summer day rolled into one perfect session that I don’t think I’ll ever get over. Seeing Mom and Dad (AND Grandma!) run through the sprinklers at the park!! Heaven. All I could ever hope for when documenting a family.

Last summer enjoying all their neighborhood favorites before moving out to the suburbs! Picking sidewalk fruits, finding water balloons at the playground (and having a sweet kid help fill them up), and saying hello to the local firemen. These types of sessions feel extra special and so bittersweet.

I’m really not exaggerating when I say I want to document how your life *actually* is in the day-to-day. If you empty the dishwasher during snack time and snack time is promptly after nap time which is right when I’m supposed to arrive? No need to reorganize your whole day. All of those little moments are more photo worthy than you realize.
