Over 20 years combined, of passion, dedication, and commitment to supporting the deep soulful house community in Los Angeles, Mo and Raul joined forces in February of 2012 to establish SHAKE. Loyal to the deep, soulful, authentic underground house sound, they dj/host these events, based in Long Beach. To satisfy dancers, music lovers, guest djs, and contribute to the forward progress of the underg

round scene, as well as provide a platform for djs is the goal. In the spirit of authentic house clubs, past and present, who have managed to become a hub, welcoming ALL types of people to congregate in the name of driving beats, funky baselines, soulful vocals, high hats, bongos and congas, and the art of live DJ mixing. Shake is about providing this same type of vibe you may be familiar with, miss, or unknowingly are searching for. Shake is an attempt to bridge OC music lovers (house-heads) with LA house-heads while helping build a Long Beach scene in between. Our humble beginning is going well, and we are thankful for all the love and support as we stay consistent. Peace

Some may or may not know the story behind Shake. There is a story, however at this moment we want to once again credit Eric Aguila . This man was essential in the creation of the name as we brainstormed/dialogued and talked about DYMK...and out of that came SHAKE what your mama gave you, thus SHAKE. The flyers for each event were masterfully crafted by Eric! Our logo brand....ALL ERIC!! Although out of state at the time, Eric was immensely responsible for the success of our short-lived Long Beach gem.
