These events will call attention to existing art galleries, local businesses and the available storefront areas where future businesses can make their home. Each event will be a one-day affair, featuring a different theme. Some will have street closures depending on expected attendance. We are kicking off the first of a series of festivals and parties on July 20, 2013.

The third annual Long Beach Folk Revival Festival takes place on September 19, 2015 from 11am to 11pm and is serving up a slice of “True American Music” for every member of the family. Running of The Dames, where running of the bulls meets roller derby, returns for its second year, Saturday May 23, 2015 from noon to 8p.m. at the intersection of Sixth Street and Pine Avenue.
Featuring live music, a locally­ sourced food court and beer garden by Auld Dubliner. Recent Burger Records signee/surf­ rock babes, Bombón, Stars at Night and DJ Polyester are leading an all­ female lineup of live music and Original T­Bird Skater, Honey Sanchez will be on­ site signing autographs.
This year’s food court is curated by Primal Alchemy’s, Chef Paul Buchanan and includes Anandamide Psychedelicatessen chocolates, Steamed Organic Vegetarian Cuisine, and Long Beach Creamery ice cream.
