“Heiwa” means peace in Japanese!☮️🕊️

Every September, we partner with North American Japanese Garden Association for their initiative, but we love keeping the Heiwa vibes alive all year long!

A special thank-you to our Friend of the Garden, Paul, who is not only a Zen Garden Raking MASTER but also a musical GENIUS! Paul composed this beautiful song “Heiwa,” for this year’s Gardens for Peace initiative. Thank you for helping us share a little more peace through music and the Garden.

WE DID IT! 🤩✨

Thank you so much to everyone who donated during this year’s Long Beach Gives campaign! Because of your incredible generosity, we raised $16,853 so far, which is truly remarkable!

Your support helps us continue providing a beautiful and educational space for our Long Beach community to enjoy, learn, and connect with nature💕

We would also like to give a huge thank you to Renew Landscape Management Inc for their generous $5,000 matching donation, which played a key role in helping us reach this incredible milestone!

There’s still time to donate before midnight! Let’s see how far we can go! 💕 And while you’re there, be sure to check out the other nonprofits on the Long Beach Gives website doing incredible work throughout the Long Beach community.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ❤️

🌿 FUN FACT: One of our dedicated EBMJG gardeners, Nobi, has worked in the Garden for over 42 years!

Nobi has played a fundamental role in the Garden’s development over the past four decades, most recently helping with the design of our new entryway.

**Long Beach Gives is TODAY!** Your donations help us support dedicated staff like Nobi and continue caring for this special Garden for generations to come.

A special thank you to Renew Landscape Management Inc for generously supporting the Garden and helping make our work possible! 💚

🌱 FUN FACT: Did you know we have a 500-year-old bonsai?

This Utah Juniper comes from a tree dated back to 1524, making it the oldest bonsai in our collection! It features a windswept style and deadwood technique, where portions of the trunk are intentionally dead while the tree continues to thrive.

While it’s not currently on display, come visit the Garden and explore our ever-changing bonsai collection!

🌿 Donate during Long Beach Gives to help us continue growing our collection of rare bonsai.

A special thank you to Renew Landscape Management Inc for generously providing a $5,000 matching gift! ❤️

Early Giving for Long Beach Gives is happening NOW! ❤️

You may be asking yourself, what happens if we hit our $15,000 goal?

Well, everyone who has donated to this year’s campaign will get the opportunity to vote on a name for this lucky koi fish! 🐟💕

Help us reach our goal and give this little guy a name! Donate today through the link in our bio.

And a huge thank you to Renew Landscape Management Inc for generously sponsoring a $5,000 match! Your support is helping us get one step closer to our goal! ❤️
