Daghang Salamat . Performed on the main stage and did the opening set with my brother . Kuya asked me what kind of vibes and records I was bringing with me to the island and I told him all my Latin Cumbia, Salsa bangers and he said to do that. And that’s what my brother and I did. There’s a certain type of healing energy going on bringing the worlds of Los Angeles + Mexico + Pilipinas together. Our journey, struggle, and love for family and living life to the fullest are all similar. While we as Pilipinos love to sing and entertain and Latinos in general love to dance and party, but at the core we’re all just celebrating life in our own ways. Glad to be the modern day bridge bringing our two sides of the Pacific together once again. For all the No Sabo kids (on both sides of the ocean lol) pls look up the “Acapulco Manila Galleon Trade”. There’s a lot of history between our regions. A lot of beautiful exchanges with food, drink, and cultures happened back in the day and is still happening to this day. ❤️👍🏼 Vamanos Recio Compás.
