Lisianthus.

Wow. This is my first year growing it and it’s taken until this harvest for it to win me over. The branching stems covered with blooms are like nothing else.

They’ve definitely been higher maintenance than most other warm season crops. I followed guidance to double net them and glad I did. The delicate petals are also easily damaged by rain, so I’ve been using hoops and plastic to protect them

I was obsessed all winter long about the prospect of adding ducks to the farm. We chose runner ducks for their excellent foraging to help us manage pests, and I may be even more excited about adding their water to the beds as fertilizer.

These babies are four weeks old already! I miss our early days of afternoon cuddle naps.

It was such a good week in flowers! We will have most of these varieties next week.

Lots of Lisianthus! Plenty of zinnias. Just a few sunflowers at the beginning of the week.

I have availability to do straight bunches of lisis next week - purple and rose.
