🦅 A HISTORIC MOMENT FOR THE HAVEN 🦅

A bold new era of innovation, entrepreneurship and experiential learning is coming to Commonwealth University-Lock Haven thanks to a transformational $1.75 MILLION gift from alumnus and entrepreneur Nick Subich ’17 — one of the largest gifts in the history of the Lock Haven University Foundation!

This incredible investment will establish the Nicholas Subich Center for Entrepreneurship and Media inside Bentley Hall — a dynamic, technology-driven space designed to help students collaborate, create, innovate and gain real-world experience before graduation.

From modern collaborative learning spaces and upgraded classrooms to a state-of-the-art podcast and media studio, the center will empower Bald Eagles across ALL academic disciplines to turn bold ideas into thriving realities.

Nick’s generosity is rooted in his own Lock Haven experience and his passion for creating opportunities for future students.

“Lock Haven changed my life,” Subich said. “Now I want this center to help change the lives of future Bald Eagles for generations to come.”

This past weekend, members of the Lock Haven, Bloomsburg and Mansfield Alumni Association Board of Directors came together to discuss strategic alumni engagement and how to best support current students, including Lock Haven University Alumni Association President Col. John Newcomer '84 (USA Ret.), LHUAA Vice President George Way '77, Amee Lewis Vance '75, Terri Koehler '85, Dirk Weaver '94, Michelle Charmello '91, Fritz Sevrain '92 and Bryan Stamm '07.

The Alumni Boards were honored to welcome Jeffery L. Osgood, Jr. PhD MPA on Friday evening and to offer their support as he begins his role as President of Commonwealth University of Pennsylvania.

The following four core pillars of strategic alumni engagement will serve the University and generations of Bald Eagles, Huskies and Mounties to come:

More than 100 donors and students came together for the annual James C. Reeser Scholarship Brunch on Sunday, Apr. 12—and the impact was undeniable.

This powerful celebration of philanthropy brought to life what makes The Haven so special: connections that change lives. Donors saw firsthand the difference their generosity makes, while students shared gratitude for opportunities that are shaping their futures.
