Blending infectious funk grooves, psychedelic jams, and experimental electronics, this long-running, hard-touring jam band titan is dedicated to making music to power good times. Formed by friends and classmates at the University of Maryland and named for the legendary B.F. Skinner experiment they were studying in Psych 101, this is not a band that takes itself overly seriously. Their wildly entertaining frontman, Greg Ormont, goes by the nickname Scrambled Greg.
But that’s not to say they’re not hard-working. We’re talking 200+ shows a year for nearly two decades, appearing everywhere from Red Rocks to Jam Cruise to Bonnaroo, and all spots in between. They’ve recorded 7 full-length albums and they even host their own music festival – DomeFest in the New River Gorge in West Virginia. (We all know how hard that is!)
We’re talking about one of the greatest party bands on the scene, playing music rooted in an unyielding quest to spread joyful positive energy, highlighted by one of the most spectacular and mind-bending light shows you’ll ever see, playing two full hours on Saturday night.
