Still wrapping our heads around the kind of support ARTÉ Film Festival has received in its very first year. 🤍

From global brands like Pixar and Philippine Airlines, to Visit Tri-Valley, Livermore Valley Arts, and so many local businesses, creatives, artists, and community leaders… thank you for believing in the vision of elevating diasporic stories through film, art, culture, music, fashion, and community gathering.

As small business owners ourselves, we know support is never just about sponsorship dollars. It’s people opening doors, sharing resources, posting flyers, buying tickets, making introductions, lending their talents, and believing that these stories deserve to be seen on big screens and celebrated in meaningful ways.

ARTÉ was created to make space for stories rooted in identity, migration, belonging, resilience, and the beauty of living between cultures. Seeing so many people rally behind that mission has honestly been emotional.

If you’ve booked one of our spaces, attended a community event, or celebrated with us over the years… chances are you’ve tasted Harina’s famous guava cheese rolls. Or maybe you’ve even received a box from us during the holidays. 🤍

Behind every single pastry is a beautiful family, Kuya Arnie, Ate Grace, and their daughter Alex working side by side with so much heart, love, and quiet generosity. Their food is always a show stopper, but honestly, it’s who they are as people that leaves the biggest impact. They are the kind of people who always say yes before you even ask for help. The kind of people who show up for everyone and genuinely cares!

In all the years I’ve known them, they have never ever once asked for anything.

Today, we’re asking our community to show up for them.

Kuya Arnie, the heart and soul behind Harina, recently suffered a stroke and underwent a 4-hour emergency surgery to remove a blood clot from the right side of his brain. While we are beyond grateful he survived, the road ahead will be long, emotional, and financially heavy for their family.

This is the time we show what commUNITY really means. To rally around one another. To carry families when life changes overnight. To support the small businesses and people who have quietly poured so much love into this community for years.

If you’re able to donate, share, pray, or simply repost their GoFundMe, every bit truly matters. No amount is too small. Let’s show up for this incredible Livermore family the same way they’ve shown up for so many of us.
