We know shopping for a wedding dress can seem like a daunting task, so here are 7 helpful tips to keep in mind before you start shopping:

❤️1) Get some inspo! You dont have to have it all figured out before stepping foot into a bridal shop, and chances are you'll be surprised at some of the dresses you like. But having some ideas will help your stylist guide you to the perfect dress.

❤️2) Figure out your dress budget BEFORE going shopping. The reality is we all have a budget, whether it's $700 or $4500. Too often, brides will tell us, "we just want to see what there is, and we can adjust the budget." But if we are being honest its heartbreaking when a bride tries on a dress she truly cant afford, we dont want that for you and we respect your budget and will never push you outside your budget.

❤️3) Bring only the people who are important and will support you to your appointment. You dont have to have everyone's opinion. In fact, if you would rather come alone, that's great too! This is about you and how you feel and what you want. So choose your shopping crew wisely.

❤️4) Wait on the veil. There's something that happens when a bride puts on a veil. It's seeing yourself as a bride, and if you are wearing a dress you aren't 100% in love with, you could say yes to the wrong dress. So wait until you have a dress on that you truly love.

❤️5) Wear your hair and makeup like you might on your wedding day. No one expects perfection, but it will help you to see yourself as the bride on your big day if you feel confident and beautiful.

❤️6) Take pictures! After the first 4 dresses, things begin to blend, and you get "white washed." You will want to look at those photos and compare dresses. Make sure you get all angles and if the dress has sparkles get a video to actually capture the twinkle.

❤️7) This is advice we know you won't get anywhere else, if you aren't 100% sure of the dress it's okay to think about it. We said what we said! The bridal industry is notoriously pushy. But when you find the dress you WILL KNOW. It's OK to sleep on it. Put a hold on it and give yourself time to process. That's what the photos are for!
