“I love it,” Rush said of his special day. “I took off touring to be here with the folks who thought enough to do this for me. I made sure to rearrange my schedule because I couldn’t let Billy (Jeter) down after all the effort he put into this project. I arrived early this morning to look around and the crowd had already beat me here. The love I’ve seen today warms my heart. It’s great to be back in my state."

Read more about the celebration for Bobby Rush and how it impacted him and his hometown Sherrill Arkansas.

Thanks to Richard Ledbetter for the great article for Pine Bluff Commercial . You captured the heart behind Bobby and the purpose behind our Trail.

Today we feature our artist wrangler Marvin Schwartz . Marvin is our keeper of the clock, the stage hook, the one more song guy. But that isn’t all that Marvin is, he is a world class swimmer, an accomplished author and a badass mandolin player. Marvin has been involved in the coming and goings of the Delta since the day he Kerouac his way into Arkansas. He has a new literary/music works happening with Gene Reid in July. In the meantime watch for Marvin watching the clock!

Today we are highlighting the company and family that builds the stage we stand on. We have known the Williams family from near Swan Lake Arkansas (home of blues man Goosie Willie) for decades. Most in Jefferson county know him as Chucky D. His stage is the first thing people see when they drive up to one of our celebrations, and he does it right along with his wonderful family. Thank you Gearld Williams Gerald Williams see you in September in the pecan orchard Wabbaseka Ark

Jay is a veteran of too many juke joints and music festivals to count. We are lucky to have him help clean the leaves off these legends.
