Thank you, Blair & Leo!

I had the privilege of DJing Blair’s sister’s wedding back in 2022, so when I found out I’d be doing Blair and Leo’s wedding reception, I was really excited to be a part of it.

This family is honestly one of the most fun groups I’ve had the privilege of working with, and they brought a great crowd with them tonight. The dance floor stayed busy and everybody came ready to have a good time!

I even got a performance tonight from Leo, who performs in Broadway musicals and is currently on tour with Mrs. Doubtfire, playing Stuart. That was pretty damn cool!

Blair and Leo, thank you guys for letting me be a part of your celebration. I had a great time and appreciate you both more than you know.

Not sure who needs to hear this, but here are a few reasons you don’t put your DJ upstairs at a wedding reception. 😂

1. Your DJ needs to be where the party is. If the dance floor is downstairs and the DJ is upstairs, you’re separating the music from the people.
2. Sound doesn’t travel the same through different floors. What sounds great upstairs can sound completely different downstairs.
3. The DJ needs to read the room. You need to see when people are ready to dance, when the energy is dropping, and when it’s time to switch things up.
4. Guests shouldn’t have to go upstairs just to make requests or talk to the DJ.
5. Your DJ is part of the reception, not someone who should be hidden away in another room.
6. Most importantly, you want the DJ set up where they can keep the dance floor moving and be involved in the celebration.
7. Last but not least, our equipment isn’t exactly light. 😂 And falling down the stairs while carrying DJ equipment isn’t exactly part of the wedding package. I’ve been there before, and let me tell you… it was NOT a fun ride down. 😂

Put the DJ where the party is. Your dance floor will thank you. 🎧🔥
