Here’s the thing: planning your 2026–2027 wedding doesn’t have to feel like a full-time job *and* a group project with no instructions. When you follow a few key guidelines, everything gets a whole lot smoother.

✨ A few DO’s to keep you sane:
• **DO set a realistic budget first** – before you fall in love with the venue, the dress, or the 7-foot floral arch.
• **DO start early** – the best Atlanta venues and vendors book up fast (especially weekends).
• **DO stay organized** – contracts, invoices, timelines… all need a home that isn’t your brain.

🚫 And some big DON’TS to avoid:
• **DON’T procrastinate** – future you does *not* want to be stuffing invitations at midnight.
• **DON’T try to do it all alone** – lean on your crew, and yes, a certified wedding planner is absolutely allowed.

As a Georgia certified wedding planner, I see couples *overthink* their vows all the time. You don’t need to sound like a poet — you just need to sound like **you** (inside jokes 100% encouraged).

Here’s how to write vows that feel real, not robotic:

✨ **Start with a voice note, not a blank page**
Talk out loud like you’re telling a friend why you love them. Then type up the best parts.

✨ **Use your real-life stories**
Mention the moment you “knew,” the Netflix show you always fall asleep to, or that road trip disaster you now laugh about. Specific > generic.

✨ **Keep your promises simple + honest**
Instead of “I vow to always cherish you,” try “I vow to always split the last fry” or “I vow to show up for you, even on the hard days.”
