✨ Before the wine flights, before the laughter-filled nights, before the polished stone and candlelight… there was dust. And rubble. And about a million trips to the dumpster.
Most people don’t know this, but we did 99% of the demo ourselves. Evenings after work, weekends when everyone else was at the lake — we were here, swinging hammers & tearing down walls. 🛠️
And once the demo was done? We rolled right into the rebuild. Framing, fixing, patching, painting — we put our own sweat into bringing this place back to life. Renovation isn’t new to us, but renovating a building that’s around 100 years old? That was a brand-new adventure.
Construction from a century ago is a whole different world — thick beams, hidden quirks, and decades of patchwork piled on top. Some of it was craftsmanship worth saving… some of it was the kind of “DIY” that makes you laugh and cry at the same time. 😅
Plenty of people told us: “Just tear it down. That whole strip should be leveled.” But that was never an option. These walls had character. They had stories. They deserved another chance.
So, we poured ourselves into it — demo and rebuild, late nights and long weekends. And now, Nineteen 25 stands as proof that some things are worth saving… and worth fighting for.
So you tell us — looking around today, do you think it was worth it? 🥂
