✨1. Everyone asks “How does it feel to be married?!” and honestly... it doesn’t feel wildly different overnight. We still have laundry, work, taxes, dishes, and all the normal real-life things. But it is special doing all of it together.
2. The wedding comedown is REAL. After months (years?) of planning, the anticipation suddenly disappears and it can feel like a weird void. It’s a good time to just be and enjoy newlywed life!
3. You really do build your own family unit. Holidays feel different, traditions start to shift, and decisions slowly become “we” decisions instead of “me” decisions.
4. You start learning each other in a deeper way. The conversations about the future, finances, goals, and dreams feel more real and more shared than ever.
5. Friendships shift (in a good way). More nights at home, more hosting with all the registry goodies, more double dates. The time you spend out becomes more intentional because your time together at home feels so valuable.
To my engaged girls: soak it in and let the small things go. It only gets better from here. And to my married girls: what would you add? We know we missed something. ⬇️
