Grief has many rapids. And every grief journey is different.

As I watch the water rush through these rapids, I’m reminded that grief comes in many forms.

We grieve the death of someone we love. We grieve the end of relationships, dreams that never came to life, opportunities lost, and the versions of ourselves we thought we would become.

We may even carry grief for the harm we’ve caused others, the regrets we hold, and the sorrows of a world that can sometimes feel unbearably heavy.

Like these waters, grief can be unpredictable. Some rapids are loud and turbulent. Others are quieter, yet just as difficult to navigate. Sometimes we feel strong enough to keep moving forward. Other times, we need support to make it through.

Sometimes, we need a suspension bridge.

A bridge doesn’t make the rapids disappear. It offers a way to cross them with support, one step at a time.

As a certified grief coach and educator trained through David Kessler’s grief coaching certification programs, I walk alongside people navigating grief, loss, and life transitions.

My role is to offer a compassionate, supportive space where you can explore your grief, honor your experience, and discover ways to move forward at your own pace.

Whether you are grieving a death, a relationship, an unfulfilled dream, regret, or the painful realities of the world, your grief matters, and you don’t have to navigate it alone.

✨ Wondering if grief coaching is right for you?

I offer a FREE virtual discovery call so we can get to know one another, discuss what you’re experiencing, and see if we’re a good match to work together. There is no cost and no obligation—just an opportunity to connect.

Coaching sessions are held virtually, so you can access compassionate grief support from the comfort of your own space.

You don’t have to cross the rapids alone. Let’s explore what support might look like for you.

Standing among these ruins in Puerto Rico, I’m reminded that life and death are not always opposites. Sometimes, they exist side by side.
What once stood strong has fallen. What was once whole has weathered time, storms, and change. And yet, even in the brokenness, there is beauty. The blue sky stretches endlessly above the crumbling walls, birds continue to fly, and life finds its way through the cracks.
Isn’t that how life is, too?
We experience endings, losses, and seasons when parts of us seem to crumble. We grieve what was, what could have been, and what we must learn to live without. And yet, even as we carry the ache of what is gone, life continues to offer moments of beauty, connection, hope, and unexpected beginnings.

These ruins remind me that broken does not mean without beauty, and an ending does not mean that all life has disappeared.
Sometimes, the most profound beauty is found in the places where life and loss meet.

Grief can either disconnect a family or bring it closer together.

When someone we love is no longer physically present, the family chain changes forever.

We are left learning how to live again, how to navigate holidays and milestones, and how to find joy in a world that looks different than it did before.

Sometimes grief creates distance as everyone struggles in their own way. Other times, it becomes the very thing that draws us closer, teaching us to be more patient, more understanding, and more intentional with the time we have together.

I am so grateful that our family has been an example of the latter.

We have learned to embrace the moments. To travel together, laugh together, cry together, and remember together.

We have learned that it’s okay to hold both sadness and joy in the same heart, to speak the name of the one we miss, and to keep making memories while carrying their love with us.

The link in our family chain may no longer be physically present, but the love that connects us remains.

And perhaps one of the most beautiful ways we can honor our loved one is by continuing to live, love, and show up for one another.

Grief changes us, but it doesn’t have to break us apart. Sometimes, it teaches us just how precious our connections truly are.

If you’re navigating the loss of someone you love, please know you don’t have to figure out how to live this new chapter alone.

There is support, there is hope, and there is a way forward that honors both your loss and your life.
DM me and let's have a discovery call.

A moment I will never forget.

As friends arrived at our home to gather with us, they placed flowers on my son’s car. To others, it may have seemed like a small act of kindness, but to me, it was a moment of WOW.

I looked at those flowers and realized just how many lives my son had touched—more than I may have ever fully known. Each bouquet represented a friendship, a connection, and a story I might never have heard.

As his mom, I knew how deeply I loved him, but I was reminded that his world extended far beyond our family.

His friends brought more than flowers. They shared stories about his music, played his YouTube videos, and gave me glimpses of the impact he had on their lives.

Through their memories, I saw another side of my son and was reminded of how much of a person’s story lives on in the hearts of others.

I will forever be grateful for the people who showed up, the love they brought, and the memories they shared.

Those flowers were a beautiful reminder that his life mattered, his presence made a difference, and his legacy of love continues through the lives he touched.

As I continue navigating my own grief journey, I am reminded that grief and love coexist, that there is no timeline for healing, and that we don’t have to walk through loss alone.

If you are grieving the death of someone you love, please know there is space for your pain, your memories, and whatever you may be feeling.

As a certified grief coach with CLC-Connections, it would be an honor to walk alongside you with compassion and understanding as you navigate life after loss and learn to carry your love and memories forward.

When Love and Grief Stand Side by Side. 🤍

There are moments when love and grief meet in unexpected ways. For me, one was standing at the altar as the wedding officiant for my son's best friend's wedding.

Surrounded by the young men who grew up alongside my son, now handsome groomsmen, my heart held both gratitude and longing.

I was deeply touched by the reserved seat beside the dais in my son's honor, yet ached knowing he wasn't there, standing beside his best friend.

Being chosen to officiate this wedding was a blessing and a gift I will always carry with me.

I had the privilege of honoring my son while celebrating the beginning of a beautiful new chapter for the couple.

As a bereaved mom, I've learned that grief doesn't step aside when life gives us something beautiful to celebrate. It comes with us. And somehow, love makes room for both.

We can miss someone deeply and still embrace the moments that make life beautiful.

Through CLC-Connections, I have the privilege of honoring life's meaningful moments, from weddings to memorial services and celebrations of life.

My personal journey has also inspired me to offer compassionate grief support and one-on-one grief coaching.

If you're walking alongside grief, please know there is space for you here. Whenever it feels right, I'd be honored to walk beside you. You don't have to carry it all alone.

Making pasteles for the holidays is so much more than preparing ingredients, spreading the masa, and carefully wrapping each one.

For me, it is about honoring my ancestors, preserving my cultural heritage, and continuing a tradition passed down through generations.

As I gather around the table with three generations of my family, I feel the connection between our past and present.

We share the work, the stories, the laughter, and the memories of those who came before us. In these moments, I am reminded that grief and love are deeply connected.

Although some of my loved ones are no longer physically here, their presence lives on in the traditions they taught us and the memories we continue to cherish.

I see how traditions become a bridge between generations and how the process of preparing this cultural recipe brings me closer to my roots.

My experience has taught me that grief doesn’t mean leaving our loved ones behind.

We can carry them with us through the things they taught us, the values they instilled in us, and the traditions that continue to bring our families together.

For me, making pasteles is an act of remembrance, a celebration of my heritage, and a reminder that love continues even after loss.

It gives me space to feel gratitude, acknowledge the people I miss, and create new memories with the generations gathered around me.

Our traditions nourish more than my body. They nourish my soul, connect me to my ancestors, and remind me of where I come from.

This is my story. This is how I honor my roots, remember my loved ones, and keep their legacy alive — one pastel, one memory, and one generation at a time.

If you are navigating grief, especially during the holidays, I want you to know that you are not alone.

Through CLC-Connections, I have the privilege of honoring life's meaningful moments, from the joy of weddings to the tender farewells of memorials. My own journey as a bereaved mom has deepened my appreciation for the importance of having a compassionate space to share our stories and navigate the many faces of grief.

The Carry-On I Never Check-In.

No matter how many pieces of luggage I travel with, there is always one more that comes along for the journey.

My griefcase.

It holds the people I miss, the routines that have changed, the conversations left unfinished, the difficult dates I carry, and the future I once imagined.

Some days, my griefcase feels lighter. Other days, its weight catches me by surprise.

Unlike my other luggage, checking it in is not an option.

I carry it through ordinary days, family celebrations, new beginnings, quiet mornings, and all the unexpected turns along the way.

As a bereaved mom, I've come to understand that living with grief isn't about leaving love or loss behind.

It's about learning to carry it differently, making room for moments of joy alongside the ache, and discovering that life can continue to unfold in meaningful ways.

I don't have to unpack everything at once. I don't have to pretend the weight isn't there. And I can allow others to walk beside me when the journey feels especially heavy.

My personal experience with grief has deepened my understanding of how much compassion matters.

We never truly know what someone else is carrying. A little patience, a listening heart, or simply being present can make someone's journey feel less lonely.

Through CLC-Connections, I have the privilege of honoring life's meaningful moments, from the joy of weddings to the tender farewells of memorials.
I also hold space for those navigating the many faces of grief, offering compassionate support as they learn to live alongside love and loss.

If you're carrying a griefcase of your own and searching for a place where you can be heard, witnessed, and met with compassion, I'd be honored to walk beside you. You don't have to carry it all alone.

🧳What might your griefcase be holding today?

There is something deeply meaningful about the exchange of wedding bands during a wedding ceremony.

A simple circle, with no beginning and no end, has long symbolized enduring love, wholeness, and continuity.

As a wedding officiant, I see the rings as more than beautiful symbols. They become a tangible reminder of the wedding vows and promise made in that sacred moment:

To choose one another.
To walk beside one another.
To grow together through every season of life.

A wedding day is one beautiful chapter of the many chapters to follow.

Chapters filled with laughter and tears, change and growth, ordinary days and extraordinary moments.

The rings travel through it all, a quiet reminder of the love chosen and the promises made.

At CLC-Connections, I believe a meaningful wedding ceremony should reflect more than tradition. It should reflect you—your story, your values, your love, and the life you are creating together.

Whether you are planning a Long Island wedding, intimate ceremony, personalized wedding ceremony, bilingual wedding, or vow renewal,
I would love to hear your story and create a ceremony that feels personal, heartfelt, and truly your own.

CLC-Connections — creating loving ceremonies for every beautiful chapter of life.

Sometimes, it takes just one small tile to change the entire picture.

One kind word.
One caring gesture.
One moment of encouragement.
One wink in the mirror that reminds you to see your own beauty again. 💜

Life can feel a little like a Scrabble board—full of unexpected turns, empty spaces, pieces that don’t seem to fit, and moments when you aren’t quite sure what word comes next.

Grief can feel the same way.
And grief isn’t limited to the death of someone we love.
We can grieve the death of a relationship.
The death of a dream.
The death of a role or identity.
The loss of a career, a home, a friendship, a sense of purpose, or the future we thought we were going to have.

Grief is an emotional response to loss, and every loss deserves compassion.

Sometimes, we simply need someone to hold the mirror for us until we can stand proudly in front of it ourselves.

That’s the space I strive to hold through grief coaching and grief education.

A space to better understand your grief, honor what has been lost, navigate life’s transitions, and gently discover how to live fully alongside your grief—making room for the sorrow, while also making room for life, love, meaning, and possibility.

You don’t have to figure it all out today.

Sometimes, you just need someone to help you see the next tile.
And sometimes, one small tile can make a huge difference.

You don’t have to walk through it alone. 💜

If you’re experiencing grief, navigating a significant loss or life transition, or simply want to better understand your own grief, I invite you to reach out.
