I remember asking my dad once:
"Why are you holding on to this hole in the wall to sell BBQ and stay up all night cooking?"
He never said much. Just looked at me with those green eyes and said:
"People need somewhere to go. It's not just about BBQ. Take care of people and they will take care of you."
He wasn't big on speeches. His version of "I love you" sounded more like:
"Hell boy, move you in the way."
Translation: Get out the way of the pit, I don't want you getting hurt.
It is very true.

Some places feed your stomach. The real ones feed your soul.
Thanks, Dad. For the late nights, the smoke, the lessons, and for showing me what it means to take care of people.
