The saying goes, if you love your work, it doesn’t seem like work at all. That was definitely true this past week.
We shot multiple events for Hudl and then brought everything together into a 1,008-tile photo mosaic (7ftx4ft) built from images captured throughout the week. The client loved it, and it was so much fun watching people search for and find themselves on the wall.
Earlier this year, Hudl’s event team reached out and asked us to send over our portfolio. After looking through it, they came back with a challenge:
“Can you do something you’ve never done before?”
When I found out they wanted a photo mosaic wall, I had a bit of a “hold my beer” moment. It’s something we’ve wanted to produce for a long time, but no client had ever asked for one. I immediately started researching printers, software, label materials, and everything else needed to bring it to life.
What started as an idea came together on Friday, and I couldn’t be happier with the result.
One of the event directors asked me afterward, “Was it everything you hoped it would be?”
My response:
“No. It was so much better.”
I love it when clients challenge us to try something new, and I’m incredibly proud of our team for making it happen.
Thank you, Hudl, for trusting us with the challenge.
