You won’t want to miss our German Wine Tasting Evening on Monday night, June 9th, from 6-7:30 pm. The event will feature special guest Ian Scudder, Director of PJ Valckenberg International.

Valkenberg is a wine importer with a long history of promoting the wines of Germany in the U.S. Ian holds the Advanced Certification with the Court of Master Sommeliers. Additionally, he has held roles as a Director for a major distributor and importer in New York and comes from an early winemaking and hospitality background. It's June, and time for our gentlemen's issue! This month, our magazine is full of Northland men and their creative endeavors. We've got Cody Turnbull and his car interior trim shop who is keeping steam engines roaring at the Platte County Fairgrounds, Russ Dameron and his wild recreations of car movies like the Ghostbusters Ectomobile, and our cover man, Doug Bratcher and his Liberty cooperage where he still crafts barrels by hand.
