Join us Saturday, March 14th, 2–5 PM for a sweet and meaningful afternoon supporting the preservation of one of Oregon City’s treasured historic spaces.

Help restore and return this nationally recognized historic building to community use while enjoying a delicious Pie Auction Fundraiser featuring 20+ homemade pies — including crowd favorites like Double Crust Lemon and Death by Chocolate.

All are welcome to join the Lunar New Year Celebration for the Year of the Fire Horse on the 500 Block of Main Street in Downtown Oregon City on February 14th from 2:00- 5:00 pm. Different businesses will be hosting games and activities related to the celebration.

Oregon Book Award-winning author Dane Liu’s latest release LAOLAO’S DUMPLINGS is “Superb” (Horn Book, starred review) and “Moving” (Publishers Weekly, starred review). It was featured by the Library of Congress at the National Book Festival as a “Great Reads” selection. Her debut FRIENDS ARE FRIENDS, FOREVER is a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, a Kids’ Indie Next pick, and a year’s best from the Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books. Her nonfiction picture book AMAZING: ASIAN AMERICANS AND PACIFIC ISLANDERS WHO INSPIRE US ALL, cowritten with Olympic Medalists Maia and Alex Shibutani, has been featured on ABC News, NBC News, and CBS Mornings. Dane is an Oregon Literary Career Fellow and has been awarded by the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting and We Need Diverse Books. Our amazing Oregon City School District Social Workers are getting ready to host an event supporting district families who could use an extra hand. When I checked in with them recently, they shared a need for deodorant, shampoo, and body wash.

One of our grantwriters was able to secure funding from the Dennis and Phyllis Washington Foundation to bring the Mother Goose on the Loose preschool program to the Lincoln County Montana Libraries! It feels very rewarding to be able to support our youngest learners (and their caregivers) grow as readers.

Are you a BIPOC vendor or support Black or Indigenous groups locally? Then sign up to be a vendor at Oregon City’s Juneteenth on June 21st from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at The End of The Oregon Trail Museum.

A highlight for this year will be the kick off of a permanent Black pioneers exhibit at the EOT museum.
