"All art is a shared experience. Yes, a review is, by definition, a critical appraisal. But nothing excited me more than to share accounts of when a performance moved me in ways that went beyond purely musical terms, when it ignited something deeper, more indefinable inside — something that, clichéd as it sounds, stirs the soul."

From his first published story reviewing a performance of Don McLean in the early years of the center to continuing to cover nearly every performance in our 2025/26 Season of Innovation, Walter Tunis has been a constant in the Singletary Center's history. Thank you for all you've shared and we can't wait to see you in the hall again soon!

From ear-splitting arena events to quiet soul-baring revelations, he’s been a witness to music history and taken readers along for the ride.
