Our Story

Just over two years ago, my dear husband was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, which would be the second of two different blood cancers, just six years apart. We had so much going on with doctor’s visits, work, home life, that cooking just seemed too much to even contemplate.

One night, a dear friend from Jon’s bible study, Steve, brought over dinner his lovely wife had prepared for us. It was a baked salmon dish, with a really simple salad. She had even taken into account my gluten allergy to ensure I could enjoy every bite.

The feeling of God’s provision washed over me, and I felt such relief. The simple act of having someone take care of me, think about the things I could eat, and bring it over, was just incredible. I realized in that moment, that I wanted to do that, and be that support for other families. We cook every single day with love, joy and a passion for taking care of each and every one of our families.

You don’t have to have a terrible life moment happen to need something like this, because let’s face it; life throws curveballs all of the time.
