President’s Awards Reception 🏆

We are so excited to show you the highlights from the recent President’s Awards Reception we helped to produce! A beautiful series at great dual-purpose location, we loved helping this client uplevel their 2025 event, and celebrate their teams. Scope included full-service planning and management, food & beverage support, vendor selection, pre-event planning, on-site logistics, design, and more. This event saw two day-time training meetings, and an evening awards reception and dinner.

Where do we start when it comes to showing off one of our beloved catering vendors - Selma’s Catering! The team at SC has helped us for over 12 years creating menus for showers, grad parties, weddings, birthdays and so much more! From passed hors d’oeuvres to multiple coursed dinners; Selma’s never misses a beat! We are always so impressed with the presentation they give to our clients, along with amazing taste, of course! Join us for a Hawaii-Y-O themed Family Fun Day on Saturday, June 21 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Whitaker Family YMCA's Kloiber Foundation Outdoor Pavilion. ☀️

Activities will include Hawaiian themed field games and activities, food trucks, inflatables, a DJ, and much more! 🥥

𝑪𝑶𝑵𝑵𝑬𝑪𝑻𝑰𝑶𝑵-

More than networking, we want to feel connection with other people. We need it. And if you’re like us, sometimes you attend events and meetings FOR that connection. But, not everyone knows how, or feels comfortable creating or sparking that initial connection with others - especially if they don’t know them already or are attending the event solo. Creating opportunities for organic conversation, and bypassing the nervous phase, is a great way to jump ahead to great connection (and conversation).

We love creating moments where attendees have to connect with others they don’t already know. Assigning random seats for meals, making them move for an ice breaker, or creating a “game” where they have to engage with others is a great way to generate this connection. (And also engages introverted guests who might not otherwise feel confident or comfortable doing so)

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. As a small company doing big things — we know all too well how vital it is to incorporate these moments into your events. Every Monday this month, we shared ways to incorporate mental health moments into your next meeting or event so that you can set the tone with your attendees that their wellbeing matters— just as much as the agenda. There’s nothing that brings people together AND creates a lasting impact like community service work. We love creating service opportunities during events where attendees can get their hands dirty and create meaningful change in the community they are visiting. Beach cleanups, recycling efforts, stuffing food boxes and more - no matter the city you are in, there are always opportunities to engage. Compassion towards others gives us a better quality of life!

Make PLENTY of time for community building. Before, during, and after the conference or meeting, purposely schedule time and space for your attendees to build community. This could look like structured networking (not everyone is a social butterfly and this helps incorporate your guests who might be a bit shy), it could be open networking, or it could be segmented time to get to know other attendees. We LOVE structured lunches where you are paired up in small groups and can get to know others in an organic, relaxed way over a meal.
