“I’ve only had Lovely Boy P for three weeks actually, so this was my first grand prix with him. I wanted to see what happens jumping him bigger under the lights, and everything came together in one night!”

“Cannon Beach is doing both Green Incentive and Derby Finals, so it feels fantastic to be Grand Hunter Champion. I think there’s so much timing that’s involved with this. You want to make sure that you don’t peak too early or peak too late, and I feel like this is a great setup for that. I feel confident going in now, because I know that the Cannon Beach is really trying and wants it.”

“It feels great to win today, especially with this horse because he’s only eight. We’ve been knocking at the door a little bit. We’ve moved him from 1.45m, 1.50ms, back down, just getting him used to the bigger heights. I feel like at this show, something clicked and he was like, ‘Okay, I got this. I get this.’”
