It’s like the Nebraska Passport program, only with a whole lot more flowers.

Andrea Curlo of Aunt Annie's Flower Farm & Mercantile
knew there were incredible flower farms, greenhouses, and small ag businesses all over Nebraska… but sometimes they can be overlooked. So she began connecting them, one by one, and the Nebraska Bloom Trail was born.

“There are so many incredible flower farms and small ag businesses across Nebraska,” Curlo shared. “But most people don’t even know they exist.”

That realization became a way to connect those hidden gems while giving people a meaningful, mapped‑out way to explore the state.

Today, the Bloom Trail includes 32 stops across Nebraska, ranging from U‑pick flower farms to greenhouses and floral shops.

And while you can collect stamps along the way, Andrea says the goal isn’t to rush.

“It’s not about hitting every stop,” she said. “It’s about enjoying each one.. taking your time, walking through the flowers, and just being present.”

For Andrea, flowers became part of her own healing journey during a difficult season of infertility —eventually growing into Aunt Annie’s Flower Farm, a place centered on joy, connection, and her personal motto: create your own sunshine.

That same spirit can be found throughout the Bloom Trail.

It’s not uncommon to hear first‑time visitors saying, “I had no idea Nebraska had something like this!”

You can learn more or start your own Bloom Trail journey by following the Nebraska Bloom Trail on Facebook and picking up a passport at any participating stop.

We had a great night at Mac's Creek Winery & Brewery ! Thank you for hosting us, and to all of the wonderful customers who stopped by. We appreciate you! 🌼

Several flower farmers have helped me over the last two years. But today, I want to give a big thank you to Lisa at Dahlia Valley Ranch and Jessie at !

One thing I've learned in flower farming is that there's room for all of us. If I can't grow it myself I'd much rather buy from another flower farmer or local floral business.

I truly appreciate the kindness, encouragement, and willingness to help one another. 💛

If you get a chance check out these flower farmer florists!

Heather’s Garden 2026 Season is starting to take shape and I’m SO excited for another summer of flowers, community, creativity, and fresh air. 🌸

Here’s a little peek at what’s coming this season:
🗓 4-6 Scheduled U-Pick Events
Estimated Opening Day: Saturday, July 11th
Opening Day will include a small group of local vendors featuring handmade, homegrown, farm fresh, and locally made items.

🌸🪣 U-Pick by Appointment
Starting mid July through the end of September, you can schedule a private flower picking appointment by call, text, or email.

🚚💐 Bloom Bar Cart Pop-Ups
The Bloom Bar Cart will be popping up around Dawson County throughout the season. You can also reserve a Make Your Own Bouquet Bar for weddings, showers, parties, work events, and more.

🛍️🌻Markets, Food Trailers & Collaborations
You’ll find Heather’s Garden at local farmers markets, food trailer events, and partnering with other local plant, garden, and floral experts for workshops and classes on the farm.

A few workshops and events we’re hoping for this season:
• Flower Pressing
• Flower Designing & Arranging
• Flower Pounding
• Yoga & Sound Bowl
• Granny Crafts Camp
• Stress Less Herbal Tea Making
• Petals & Pavers Garden Stepping Stones
• Dried Flower Crafts

As always, everything is weather dependent because this is farming in Nebraska. Mother Nature has the final say sometimes. ☀️🌧️

The farm is also available to reserve for small events and gatherings. Keep in mind there is currently no shelter on site, so events are very weather dependent.
Heather’s Garden is located on private land and is not open to the public at all times. Visits are only during scheduled events or appointments to respect the privacy of the family who lives on the property. You also can’t see the flower fields from the road, which makes visiting feel a little extra special once you arrive. 🫶
Stay tuned because there’s so much more to come this season.

🌻 We’re excited to officially be part of the Bloom Trail this season! 🌻
Heather’s Garden LLC is honored to be one of the participating flower farms on this beautiful trail experience across Nebraska! 🚗

Here’s what makes us a little different:
Because Heather’s Garden is located on private land, we are NOT🛑 open to the public daily like some other flower farms.

🌿 Visits to Heather’s Garden will ONLY be:
✔ By appointment (mid-June through September)
✔ During a handful of special U-Pick events (approximately 4–6 from July–September)
I also have:
📖 A limited number of printed Bloom Trail booklets available for pickup in Lexington
🗺 One of the members created a Google Map to make planning your trail stops easier! Click Here for Map
If you'd like a booklet or digital copy, send me a message. 💕

Stay tuned for upcoming U-Picks and events

I started the LMS Care Closet in 2022 while still teaching after seeing a need for a no-questions-asked place where students could access essential items so they could focus on learning and not worry about their basic needs while at school.
The First United Methodist Church in Lexington has helped support this cause from the beginning and continues to do so today. A part of Heather’s Garden will always be giving back and helping students in Lexington, a community I deeply care about.
The LMS Care Closet provides, hygiene items, food, and essentials for Lexington Middle School students who need them.
My sister, Shannon Lauby, helped me gather and organize the LMS Care Closet donations and they were dropped off today! We shopped and organized shelf-stable meals-in-a-bag for students to grab and take home when needed.

Thank you all, so much, for your support!

Harvesting Happiness,
Heather DeLap
