We’ve recently had the honor of catering fundraising galas in Elwood, Brady, and Arapahoe. While every event had its own unique theme and menu, one thing remained exactly the same: a deep love for their hometowns.
It’s inspiring to see adults leading the way and watching the students step up to plate, serve, and help out. They aren't just volunteering; they’re learning to be the next generation of community leaders.
Thank you Elwood, Brady, and Arapahoe for inviting us to be your caterer!

I have been overwhelmed with the likes and shares from the Hay Convoy that I encountered and shared. It exemplified kindness, sacrifice, and patriotism in this time of need. To follow-up, I want to share the honor I had today of presenting Donald Fleischman with a Quilt of Valor. The quilt is a thank you for their time in service to our country and for our freedom. Because of Don and all veterans who have and are serving to protect our country's freedom, we are able to (and should) serve others!

As I was delivering food today, I encountered a Hay Convoy on the interstate. After I past 3 trucks I could see so many more ahead and figured it to be a "food delivery" for the livestock that lost pasture in the Cottonwood or other fires. As I turned off at the Gothenburg exit there were 11 hay trucks that had pulled off ahead of me on the shoulder with more trucks coming behind. After I served my guests at Bayer this taco meal, I decided to take Hwy. 30 on my return trip. Around the Darr interchange, I encountered another Hay Convoy. I know I should not take photos while driving, but it warms my heart to know others are helping those who have lost with these fires. There was an American flag on one of the trucks - I love that it stands for freedom and that we are united as a nation to help one another. God Bless America!

Välkommen till Sverige! Welcome to Sweden! Last week we served Nordic flavors at the Gothenburg Hospital Gala's Passport to Adventure. Our appetizer stop was Smörrebrød - an open-faced sandwich with a choice of toppings - Egg Slice, Radish & Scallions; Roast Beef with Sweet Pickles & J's Horseradish Sauce; or Spinach, Monterey Jack Cheese & Tomato. The Entreé stop was Swedish Meatballs paired with tart, bright Lingonberry Jam. And the final stop was a slice of Scandinavian Almond Cake - a sweet, dense and nutty delight. Even though we did not serve coffee with the dessert hopefully the guests had an enjoyable Fika with their friends as the Dala horse watched over them with strenth, courage, and good fortune!

When people ask what kind of food we make, I struggle describing it. "Smoked meats, homemade sides and desserts" but what I'm really trying to say is - the kind of food your mom/grandma took the time to make. This past week, my husband and I ate at Shirley's Diner in Omaha. The employees wore shirts that said, "Good Memories made from Scratch". The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was welcoming. This is what we try to emulate with our Food and Service!

As 2025 comes to a close I am posting photos from our daughter's wedding in September. These were taken by Gleason Photography. When Kristi and Jason announced their engagement, I kidded them that I knew a good caterer that was cheap! When they decided the ceremony was to be in our pasture close by and the reception in Callaway, they asked if ABC would provide the catering services. I said I was going to be the bride's mom but my employees would!
I am always suggesting a KISS menu for weddings. With that, I guided my son-in-law to be in selecting a menu - Flat Iron Steaks with Garlic Herb Butter, Cheesy Potatoes, Crack Green Beans and a a Leafy Green Salad - KISS (Keep It Super Simple). My employees did an amazing job (which I knew they would). There were lots of compliments. 💖
KISS,😘 it's not only a sign of affection or to complete the wedding ceremony but also a great way to plan a menu!
