First zinnia of the year! It had to be snipped off because it was super short but it's still exciting! This is a mini variety called "Cupid." I grow it every year. It's adorable in the garden and the perfect size and height for the pint jar arrangements that I love making.

With the heat we have coming, the zinnias and sunflowers will be growing rapidly and bursting into bloom.

Not much color yet but give it a month and we will have a profusion of summer blossoms!

Self-seeders can be annoying if you're a meticulous garden planner but boy are they a blessing when you're running late planting in the spring. 😂 Perennials, biennials, and shrubs are also wonderful for spring color. None of this was planted this year!

Harvested three big buckets of apple mint for my first wedding! It grows like a w**d and it is impossible to contain but it sure is lovely! It also smells AMAZING.

The rest of the flowers will be coming from and I'm so excited to work with all of those beautiful blooms. It's a family wedding and very small- just a bridal bouquet and some centerpieces- but it will be far and away the biggest floral project I've ever taken on. Wish me luck! Hoping to share some pictures here, if I have time to take any. 😂
